Now we are talking!Så här vill man ju kunan göra, för det är ovesäntligt var mediat ligger. Det saknas så klart massa saker och funktionalitet, men det är ett intressant steg.
Windows Mobile phones are becoming more powerful and getting bigger screens with higher resolutions, and that means more of us will start using them for media playback. (We’ll ignore, for the moment, that Windows Mobile’s built-in media player still leaves a lot to be desired.)
Pocket Now [via] has instructions on how to rig your computer to automatically sync recorded television programs to your Windows Mobile phone via Windows Media Center, or Vista Premium or Ultimate.
The process appears to be a little time-consuming, not to mention it takes up a good chunk of your storage card. And you have to deal with Windows Media Player (we’re not ignoring it any longer), and we all know how often that ends in tears.
One other drawback is that the video is down-sampled to 320×240, which negates the advantage of having one of those gorgeous, new, high-res screens. But if Sling’s not your thing — though there may be some high-res help on the way — this could be a nice stopgap.
